First, financial aid is intended to help students pay education-related expenses including tuition, fees, room and board, books and supplies for education at college. There are four types of financial aid including scholarship, grant, loan and work-study. If you got scholarship or grant, you don't need to pay back, but if got loan, you have to pay back. If you choose work-study, you will get a job in campus and have many good experiences. Teachers suggest every students try to apply financial aid because it is good for us and everyone should have their own plant about it.
Moreover, teacher talked about registration bill. He noticed that payment of our registration bill must be made by our payment due date, he also told us seven ways to pay registration bill.

Dear Irina:
You were absent last Friday, so I want to tell you some information about Clip College Hour.
Teachers talked about Academic Literacy, Speech Department and English 101 last Friday. First of all, you have to take the CATW test to checkout your English level. If you don’t pass this test, you can choose Academic Literacy program which can help you improve basic skills such as reading and writing. This program will have classes 201, 203 and 205 for writing, and classes 225, 226 for reading, all these classes are three credit classes. If you are in high level, it will take you short time to go to English 101, of cause you should spend more time to study if you are in lower level. Moreover, if you want to improve your speech, there is the Speech Department program that you can choose. You need to take a speech placement test to identify your level, and then have many methods to develop speaking, and it is a three credit class.
However, if you pass the CATW test, you will go to English 101, it also practices reading and writing, after that you will attend the higher level English 102. Each class usually takes you about one year. After finish English 102, you can choose electives if you want to become an English manner. There are many diverse contents in this classes. Both English 101 and 102 are four credit classes.
Last but not least, if you have financial aid, it can cover all these classes, but those are paid by yourself, you need to pay $195 for each credit.
I really hope these information will give you some help! Have a good day!

ASAP
Today I listened to a lecture on ASAP delivered by Najwa Argandwall. ASAP is a program that provides a range of financial, academic, and personal supports. It also offers special class scheduling options. I think this would be a good program for me in two reasons. First of all, this program’s personal supports are very helpful to me. It includes comprehensive and personalized advisement, career counseling, tutoring, tuition waivers, MTA Metro Cards, and additional financial assistance to defray the cost of textbooks. It will help me save a lot of money. Another reason is special class scheduling options is beneficial. It can help me focus on what classes that I really need and useful. I think this program can help me graduated from QCC and transfer to a 4-year college.

QUNY Start
Today I listened to a lecture on QUNY Start given by Madhumita Chandra. QUNY Start is an intensive program that improves the academic reading, writing and math for college bound students who have not passed the CUNY placement tests. It costs only $75 to help students save financial aid and offers academic advisement. And the students in this program have two opportunities to retake placement tests. I don’t think this would be a good program for me because the QUNY Start offer math class in both full time and part time program, but I passed the math in placement test, it is west my time in studying in reading and reading. In addition, QUNY Start asks students to have high level grammar and speaking, but I still need a lot of practices. Therefore, I think this program is not suited to me.
